first_imgThe England cricket team’s dressing room had a unique visitor and even found food as it walked around the area picking food while a few of the staff and players arrived to watch the guest with fun. England are currently in the Caribbean Islands for almost a two-month long tour of Tests, one-day internationals, twenty20 internationals.England cricket’s Facebook handle posted a video of a chicken in the dressing room with a line of food in the centre. The players’ kits and everyone were on the side while the chicken walked picking food in the centre.Towards the end of the video, a few from the staff watched the chicken from near the door. A staff member could be seen making a video while Moeen Ali laughed along at the back.Last year, England had a surprise visitor in the practice session at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium when they were on tour in Sri Lanka.Snakes had invaded England’s training session and in the video put up by England cricket’s social media, the groundsmen could be seen trying to contain the ‘Cobra’ using pipes and sticks.England are set to play three Test matches against the Windies, starting January 23. Ahead of the Test series, they will play one two-day practice match against West Indies Cricket Board President XI in Barbados on January 17 and 18.After the Test series, England will play another practice game against UWI Vice Chancellors XI in Barbados ahead of the start of the ODI series.England and the Windies will play a five-match ODI series from February 20 to March 20 and a three-match T20I series from March 5 to March 10.advertisementMeanwhile the build-up to the 2019 ICC World Cup in England has already begun with England and India being termed as favourites in the tournament.England are currently the top-ranked ODI team in ICC rankings while India are a close second. On Wednesday, former Australia fast bowler Jason Gillespie termed England as the favourites while he felt the current Indian bowling attack led by Jasprit Bumrah makes India one of the favourites too.”I think the Indian attack is well balanced. Bumrah has been rested for obvious reason but their attack is still quite good,” Gillespie told PTI in an interview.”Everyone offers different things, and you add Bumrah to it, so they are well placed to mount a challenge for the World Cup.
