THE SQUEALING GAME by Steve Kerr – Screening at the Whistler Film

first_imgFunFilm Distribution is proud to announce that Steve Kerr’s feature-length film, THE SQUEALING GAME, was selected for the Official Competition of the 2016 edition of the Whistler Film Festival and considered for the Borsos award. The first screening will take place on Friday, December 2nd at 10 PM at Village 8 cinema, theatre 6. The second one will be on Sunday, December 4th at 1 PM at village 8 cinema, theatre 8.Screenwriter, director, producer, Steve Kerr and actor Paul Doucet will accompany the film in Whistler from November 30th to December 4th. The film’s main actors are Paul Doucet and Julianne Côté. Anne-Marie Cadieux, Christian Bégin and Eve Duranceau are also part of the cast.was first presented in world premiere during the last Festival du Nouveau Cinema de Montréal (FNC). Advertisement Advertisement Steve Kerr was born in Montreal in 1972. As a business graduate and a CPA, Steve did not seem destined to become a writer and filmmaker. But his journey proves that a childhood’s dream can get you a long way… It was first as a television show creator and producer that Steve’s transfiguration began. After directing TV shows and ads, he co-created, produced and directed , an award winning drama web series. This first experience in live action convinced him to take the plunge and so he wrote, produced and directed (2012) an audacious indie feature film. Having its world premiere at the Fantasia International Film Festival in Montreal, the film was well received. Winner of the Jury Prize for best picture at the Hamilton Francophone Film Festival, the feature was also screened at the Festival de Cinéma de la Ville de Québec and at the Rendez-vous du Cinéma Québécois.
